At Team Unity Martial Arts, we offer a dynamic training experience for students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're looking to improve fitness, gain mental clarity, or learn practical self-defense, our programs are designed to help you achieve your goals.

Martial arts provides a full-body workout that enhances cardiovascular health, builds muscle strength, increases flexibility, and improves coordination. It's a dynamic way to stay active and maintain long-term physical health.
Through consistent training, martial arts helps develop focus, patience, and resilience. It teaches individuals to overcome challenges, stay motivated, and maintain a disciplined mindset in both practice and daily life.

Learning martial arts equips individuals with practical self-defense techniques, giving them the tools and confidence to protect themselves if needed. It fosters a sense of security and personal empowerment.
As practitioners improve their skills, they gain a sense of accomplishment and self-assurance. This boost in confidence not only applies to martial arts but also translates to personal and professional situations.

This Dojo is run by two of the most wonderful people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting! They work with your children on an individual level inspite of the multiple children being taught. They go out of their way to learn who your child is and how they learn best. They encourage parents to watch and learn. Do yourself a favor and visit, you won't be disappointed!
Team unity is a great martial arts program. My son has been going for months now & he loves it. Master Mac & Mrs Patty are great, from master Mac having so much passion for the craft and always having a answer for every question these little minds come up with & Mrs Patty’s warm smile and patience. The studio is always nice & clean and fully equipped with everything they may need for class, very professional!
My son has just started to attend the program this summer. So far we are thrilled! He loves the program and his instructors. The instructors are very knowledgeable and kind. The program is structured well and is engaging. He always looks forward to going!
Ms. Patty and Mr. "Mac" (as the kids call him) are amazing!!! They are so patient and kind with children. My son Jackson looks forward to karate every Tuesday and Thursday night. Its a great way for kids to learn discipline and focus on a specific thing. Exercise is important and this is a fun way to incorporate it in your child's routine without calling it exercise. Love this place!!
I can’t begin to say how valuable these two have been to my 5 year old this past year. Today, he ran faster than I’ve ever seen him run to show me black tape on his belt! And to say he was a great listener and said “I’m so happy for myself!”. That is the best feeling ever! Team Unity is professional and genuinely care about their student’s. I couldn’t ask for a better team for my son!
At first we were nervous about signing our son up he does not do well in social or group settings but so glad we did he looks forward to going every week they are so great with kids hes learning patience self confidence and how to better socialize I could not be happier with the results hes having while enjoying himself and learning something new. if your thinking about joining this is the place to do it

Martial arts students wear a traditional uniform known as a dobohk (도복). Since first-time students usually don’t have their own uniform yet. New members will receive their first uniform as part of their full program. For your first time, we recommend wearing a T-shirt and a pair of comfy pants for free movement.
While competition can be enjoyable and motivate students to train, it is not required. You do not need to compete in tournaments to continue training or to achieve higher ranks. Although our instructors have trained students who have excelled in competitions, tournaments are entirely optional.
The philosophy of martial arts focuses on developing positive character traits such as respect, discipline, focus, confidence, and self-control. Our aim is to guide students to handle challenging situations calmly and peacefully. Martial arts skills are taught to be used only in self-defense. Even students who have previously struggled with aggressive behavior often develop a kinder, more respectful attitude toward others through their training.
Provided a student trains regularly, consistently, and seriously - it will take between 3 and 4 years to earn a black belt. It is not unusual however for a student to take longer to earn this prestigious rank. Students are not pressured to promote up, but rather are encouraged to be honorable and practice humility when it comes to their new ranks.
Generally, yes, but we recommend consulting with a medical professional for clearance before starting any physical training program. In most cases, martial arts can be beneficial for individuals with conditions like ADHD or autism. Additionally, all techniques and skills can be modified for any physical limitation.
This is wonderful! The short answer is yes, we do honor any earned rank. The details of how we honor the rank is contingent on multiple factors such as amount of time trained, rank achieved, accreditation of instructor/organization, etc. Because of this, every transfer is handled on a case by case basis.
Our only age requirement is for our Tigers class which has a minimum age of 4 years old. Each of our classes are tailored to different age groups, ensuring age-appropriate instruction and activities. There is no upper age limit - adults of all ages are encouraged to train!. The journey of martial arts is something that can begin at any stage of life.
To begin your training, you need only show up. Most standard equipment that you will use during regular classes are at the studio (e.g., pads, mats, heavy bags, etc.) Any special equipment that a student will need (e.g., sparring gear or training weapons) are specific to the student, and can be ordered through the studio as needed. This type of equipment is not immediately required, and only becomes necessary after at least a few months of training.
